About

PocketPlay started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games we loved and games we couldn't figure out. At some point the messages got too long, so we moved them here.

We're a small editorial team, not a marketing arm. Nobody hands us a script. We install a game, play it on our own phones, and write down what actually happened — the good stretches, the parts that drain your battery, the menus that fight you.

What gets covered comes down to curiosity and reader requests. We look at big-name releases and quiet indie stuff alike, as long as there's something worth talking about. Genre doesn't matter to us; a clever puzzle and a chaotic racer both earn a fair read.

Everything you see is written after real sessions. If we didn't finish a game, we tell you. If a setting saved our thumbs, we mention it. That's the whole idea.
